Apprentice Mechanical Engineer- Fire Suppression- South West

We have a unique opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanical Fire Suppression Engineer where you'll earn while you learn! We will teach you how to install, service, test, and repair fire suppression systems and equipment in accordance with relevant service standards and specifications.

As an apprentice, you’ll engage in a hands-on learning experience, developing new skills while building connections with our knowledgeable staff.

What You’ll Do at Work

·       Service, test, and install the appropriate pipework and systems; disassemble and reconstruct equipment.

·       Perform servicing/testing and repairs on systems and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.

·       Install systems and equipment based on relevant fabrication drawings and specifications.

·       Accurately complete engineering work reports, handover certificates, and pressure test certificates or checklists as required.

·       Undertake other duties as assigned by your line manager.

Where You’ll Work
You will be based in the South West of the UK covering differing sites around the South West of England and South Wales.



Training:

Enrol in a level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician level 3 delivered by Train'd Up alongside fellow Johnson Controls apprentices.

Engage in day release training and receive on-the-job guidance from experienced mentors and engineers



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of this apprenticeship there are many internal opportunities within the company

Many of our previous apprentices have become lead engineers and take control of their own team and projects

Working Hours :
Normal working hours will be 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive of an hour for lunch (37.5 hours per week). Hours of work may be varied at Management’s discretion
