Floor Layer Apprenticeship

Duties could include: 

Prepare the work site including, acclimatisation or materials, setting out the work, and preparing of the subfloor Plan, measure, cut, and install floorcoverings to the project drawing and specification Preparation and mixing of materials as per manufacturers guidelines 

Training:
Floorlayer NVQ Level 2 course (2 years) 
On site training provided 
No skills required 
One day per month at North London Training Centre 
Rest of the time will be learning to install flooring in the Portsmouth area 

Training Outcome:
To become a qualified fitter with the company To become a foreman with the company 

Employer Description:
We specialize in carpets and vinyl flooring for a wide range of properties, including schools, council buildings, stately homes, pubs, shops, office spaces, commercial premises, educational facilities, clubs, medical centres, libraries, embassies, hotels and more

Working Hours :
Starting times vary due to sites we work on from around a 6.30am start to no later than 8.00am start. Most days are 8-hours, any hours over this are paid as overtime at basic rate. Frequent weekend work. Exact working days and hours TBC
