Grounds Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship
As a successful candidate, you will be working as part of a team, learning skills in hedge and shrub maintenance, grass cutting and general grounds works in areas such as parks, cemeteries and allotments.
You will be working with an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, helping to look after the property owned and maintained by the Town Council.
What you will be learning?
Grass cutting Hedge cutting Strimming Planting of shrubs, plants and bulbs Playground inspections General maintenanceCollege attendance will be at Shuttleworth College starting in April 2025. Please ensure you are able to get to both the workplace and college.
Training:
Level 2 Horticulture or Landscape Operative - Horticulture Pathway Functional Skills in English and maths if required
Training Outcome:
Potential offer of a full-time position as a Grounds Maintenance Operative upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
St Ives Town Council are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice to join their team. The apprentice will learn skills in hedge and shrub maintenance, grass cutting and general grounds works in areas such as parks, cemeteries and allotments.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 7:30am until 3:30pm (3pm on Friday).
