V05109 - Advanced Apprentice Mechanical Fitting (Site & Facilities)

You will gain experience of working with system fault diagnostics, where you will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems. Responsible for servicing mechanical equipment across site facilities. You will work to drawings, manufacturer manuals and schedules to comply with legislation with a particular attention to detail. You will learn how to operate plant equipment, working with hydraulics. Some examples of this equipment would be CNC machines, lathes, industrial gas distribution and pneumatic tooling. All work you carry out in your daily role should be in line with BAE Systems safe systems of work. You will be moved around different areas of the department to gain a full understanding of the maintenance requirements set by the business.

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
