V05075 - Advanced Apprentice Sheet Metal Work

Working from planned drawings to fabricate and install components in vessels, areas such as the engine room to the kitchen galley. You will use a variety of hand tools, such as jigsaws, dividers, scribers and will be trained to use various large pieces of machinery, from manual folding machines to latest hi-tech computer aided machine lasers. Working with different components in your day-to-day work, from 1.2mm thick aluminium to 6mm thick stainless-steel plate.
As part of your programme, you will additionally be trained to a high standard in a variety of welding techniques.

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
