V05014 - Advanced Apprentice Mechanical Fitting

Day-to-day tasks include utilising specialist measuring equipment to identify thin gaps between mating faces or between specialist equipment Outfitting units within a Submarine environment from a variety of sizes of all areas of the boat Facing off' seats and castings, to gain near perfect flat surfaces, using face plates and feeler gauges and the tight tolerance measuring equipment Carrying out testing procedures, ranging from leakage testing of pipe systems to the operation of major equipment

Training:
Maritime Mechanical Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

Training Outcome:
