Registered Care Manager (Guildord)
Corus Consultancy have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Care Manager to work on behalf of a well-established client .
The position will be based in Guilford with field-based activities throughout South West England.
You’ll manage the day-to-day running of care and delivery of our care service - conducting new client assessments, completing risk assessments and care plans and assisting with the training of our professional carers.
Working directly with the Director You will play a critical role in ensuring both our staff and Clients feel well supported every single day.
You will be instrumental in our quest to be the leading provider of the highest quality live-in care that enables our clients to stay at home happily and safely, whilst enhancing their wellbeing and lifestyle.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £38.000 – £41.500 per year
Oversee company Quality Assurance (QA) and CQC compliance
Drive cross-company QA improvements
Day-to-day management of the Care Management Team with the Chief of Operations
Leading the care team through guidance, coaching and motivation
Build and support our professional carer community
To supervise and mentor the QA team
Manage and maintain auditing standards
To deliver induction training to carers including moving and handling, first aid and dementia training
To liaise with local stakeholders as part of the ongoing support for clients and for building the bran
A vision to change and improve the Supported living industry
Previous management experience within the care sector
Excellent communication and technology skills
Impeccable organisation and planning skills and competent in office administration
Experienced in conducting care assessments, care reviews and constructing care plans
A team player with a sense of humour and a real drive
Qualified to NVQ Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care, or Leadership in Children’s and Young Peoples Services or QFC level 5 in leadership and Management/Registered Managers Award
Possession of a full driving licence and access to own vehicle
2 years experience of working in residential settings with young people
Prior experience of working with either care leavers, or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children or at-risk young adults
Skills in communicating the needs of the project and the young people to stakeholders in other organisations such as Children’s Social Care, NHS Providers and community organisations, and building relationships
Skills in communicating with young people, including those who may not have English as a first language.
Ability to use a computer and to write high quality reports, and support staff to write regular reports which can be used to apply for funding and to update other stakeholders about the project, and about particular young people and their circumstances.
