Job Profile
As the successful Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be joining a close-knit QA team of 2, working collaboratively within a wider manufacturing operation of approximately 60 skilled individuals.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all components meet the company’s and customers’ stringent quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a methodical mindset, and the ability to uphold accuracy under pressure.
This position has arisen due to a combination of retirement and team members moving to Rolls Royce, creating an exciting opportunity for someone with ambition and a commitment to high standards to make their mark.
Duties:Carry out inspection of parts using both manual CMM, and CNC CMM machines in line with company and customer specificationsUse specialised software to produce bespoke inspection routinesConduct visual inspections of finished partsCalibrate and maintain company inspection equipmentCommunicate effectively with the technical and manufacturing teamsRecord inspection data accurately and prepare quality documentationIdentify and report non-conformances promptlyEnsure compliance with quality standards and specificationsSupport continuous improvement initiativesMaintain a high level of attention to detail under tight deadlinesYou may be asked to perform other duties on occasion as required by business needs.
Skills & Attributes:Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Inspection environment within Precision Engineering or ManufacturingCompetent with CMM / CNC CMM inspection equipment and softwareStrong understanding of quality systems and documentationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyA proactive, adaptable approach to workload and problem-solvingWillingness to learn and develop new skills
Education / Certificates:Apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing (desirable)CMM programming/inspection training (advantageous)
Hours of Work:39 hours per weekMonday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30Friday: 07:20 – 12:30Flexibility required when needed
