Digital Printer Apprentice

The responsibilities include:

Managing print jobs from start to finish Preparing artwork for printing (imposition) Operating three types of digital printer -Trimming, creasing & folding as required Customer service by counter, email & over the phone -Packing and preparing jobs for dispatch

Training:

A structured, 3-year apprenticeship program leading to a Level 3 Print Technician qualification.

Dedicated Support:

Regular 1-on-1 meetings with your manager and a designated mentor to track your progress and provide guidance

Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both your employer and BPIF Training.

You will be assigned a training coordinator to work with you throughout the duration of your apprenticeship.

Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit both your own and business needs.

Most training and studying will be site-based.

You should be comfortable with planning your workload as you progress through the apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:

Once the qualifications been achieved you will have the opportunity to join the team on a full time basis pending review. Or you will be able to join an alternative printing company and have a strong foundation of knowledge and experience for a wide and varied range of printing and print finishing techniques as well as customer service.

Monday- Friday 10am- 4pm
