The engineering technician apprenticeship covers a range of topics, including:
Engineering principles Technical mathematics Computer-aided design (CAD) Mechanical and electrical engineering Apprentices will also learn about manufacturing processes, quality control, and maintenance, as well as health and safety regulations.Training:
Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Level 3 Diploma in engineering technician (skills) Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in engineering technician (knowledge) Functional Skills in maths and English as required Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) Training and training location to be confirmed To gain a general understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles through a combination of on the job training and classroom/workshop based training in conjunction with The JCB Academy.Training Outcome:
Excellent prospects for progression within The Hex Group. Progression from Level 3 to Level 4 is a realistic ambition.
Many of our apprentices go on to further their careers in one of our businesses, and those with exceptionally high levels of drive and determination achieve a Level 4 qualification. We’ll even sponsor some of our graduate apprentices to complete a full degree.
