Machinist Apprentice

Day-to-day tasks include:

Setting and programming of work on 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC machines Developing 3 and 5 axis programmes 2D and 3D CAD design Basic fitting techniques Grinding, benchwork and associated techniques Checking and inspection of work Understanding both in house and customer supplied engineering drawings

Training:
This is a 4 year Level 3 Machinist Apprenticeship, with the first 9 months being full time at the training provider, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG Level 3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge) Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address

Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to forge a successful career with excellent pay/progression with no limit

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday, 7.30am - 1.30pm. If the Apprentice is aged under 18 they will work 38 hours, if they are aged over 18 they will work 40 hours
