IT Support Engineer
The RoleAs an IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing a timely, customer focused and efficient support.
You will be required fix application and system problems, or any incident that is disrupting the application service that business users depend on.
The job calls for both technical capability and business understanding. What you'll do:Application Configuration – understand business needs and ensure systems are configured accordingly.Analyse application inputs and outputs to ensure smooth business operation is maintainedSetup and maintain application monitoring of business processes to ensure smooth daily running of systems.Providing a timely, customer focused, efficient IT support for APCOA operations. Supporting various parking applicationsLogging and managing calls with third party suppliesResolving urgent and immediate requests by various usersAct as a single point of contact for phone calls and emails from staff regarding IT issues and queriesReceiving, logging and managing calls from internal staff and external client via telephone and emailFirst and second line support for all IT enquiries including bespoke SQL applications and Head Office IT systems occasionally Support internal customers in any day-to-day activities.Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely mannerTo ‘cascade’ IT service information as required and to maintain good communications throughout the teamPrepare documents, reports, meeting materials and correspondencePerform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational objectivesProvide assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related mattersEnsure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers What you'll bring:3+ years hands on systems administration or application support experienceIt is anticipated that the successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience of working in IT, with some of that experience directly relevant to the industry or technologies used within it.Methodical approach to problem analysis, and active involvement in problem solving Process orientated and KPI DrivenHigh Attention to detail and a hunger to improve systems and processManages cross-functional resources to deliver short- to medium-term objectives, demonstrating determination and flexibility to overcome barriersSets pace for action and negotiates results with management / senior management What we'll offer you:40 hours per week.Hybrid - three days in the office and two working from home. £30,000 per annum (including 1 weekend per month)25 days holiday plus 8 Bank HolidaysTraining and developmentPension SchemeEmployee Discount scheme
