Customer Service Apprentice - Early Help Family Hubs

Ultimately, a Customer Services Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Maintain security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbooks, issue visitor badges).

Direct visitors to the appropriate person or office.

Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.

Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, brochures etc).

Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.

Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.

You should have a pleasant personality.

You should be able to deal with situations in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations.



Training:

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA) Regular training and development sessions to meet the needs of the employer and the apprentice.

Training Outcome:

There is an opportunity for progression on to a higher-level qualification.

Working Hours :
Family Hub Reception operates a two-shift pattern Monday – Thursday, 8.00am - 4.00pm or 9.00am - 5.00pm, with 30-minute lunch break. Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
