An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Reading, Berkshire area.

This mental health service is a 24 hour specialist care and support service for people with severe and enduring mental health needs
**To be considered for this position you must be a registered Occupational Therapist with a HCPC Registration**
As the Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:
Plan and implement individual and group interventions collaboratively with patients
Actively implement evidence-based practice
Maintain accurate patient records, including care notes, written reports and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital and professional standard
Establish effective communication with patients and their cares, all staff and other agencies
Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery
To fulfil a variety of duties and responsibilities associated with maintaining a caseload, meeting the standards set in the Occupational Therapy department care-pathway while adhering to HPC regulations
Complete full assessments, plan, implement intervention and evaluate outcomes as per department care-pathway, enabling the patient in areas of self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience working with people with neurological needs
Evidence of fieldwork and or employment within the Rehabilitation field of Psychiatry
Experience in working with Forensic patients
Strong knowledge of best practices within a similar setting
Knowledge and practical experience of the Occupational Therapy process in mental health or neurological settings
Experience, knowledge and skill in supervising OT staff and students
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £30,000 per annum DOE.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
