Position: Air Tightness and Ventilation Engineer

Responsibilities Conduct air tightness and ventilation testing in line with industry standards and best practices. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations. Collaborate with architects and engineers to optimize designs for air tightness. Identify sources of air leakage and recommend remediation strategies. Ensure compliance with local building codes and energy efficiency regulations. Train and educate clients and team members on the importance of air tightness and energy efficiency. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to air tightness and building performance. Requirements Experience required in the ventilation industry and/or already registered as an NSAI/INAB A broad industry understanding of the types of ventilation options/systems (natural, CMEV/DCV/MVHR etc.), their design and testing requirements under Part (F) Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in building science, HVAC systems, or energy engineering. Proficiency in air tightness testing methods and equipment. Strong understanding of building codes and energy regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications in energy auditing or building performance analysis are a plus.
