Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Salary: Circa £17 p/h Hours: Mon – Fri 40hours p/w Location: Tamworth About the Role Join our Inspection department as a Quality Inspector focused on first-off, in-process, and final inspection of precision-manufactured components. The main objective is to ensure all parts meet exacting customer standards and industry regulations—including AS9100, ISO9001, and ISO17025. Key Responsibilities - Carry out inspections to AS9100 Rev D, ISO9001:2015 & ISO17025:2017 standards. - Programme and use Coordinate Measuring Machines (QCT and Mitutoyo software). - Operate, program, and evaluate Gear Measuring Machines. - Read and interpret engineering drawings and inspect parts to requirements. - Use micrometers, surface testers, contour tracers, and other metrology equipment. - Complete and maintain route cards and inspection records. - Work closely with manufacturing personnel and a dedicated quality team. - Conduct First Article Reporting for aerospace/automotive customers. - Operate effectively within the company ERP/MRP and work to quality control documents and local work instructions. - Uphold environmental, health, and safety policies—good housekeeping at all times. - Communicate accurately within all business levels and functions. Person Profile Must Have: - Significant experience in a precision engineering environment. - Essential CMM programming (ideally QCT and Mitutoyo software). - Thorough understanding of AS9100 Rev D, ISO9001:2015 & ISO17025:2017. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word). - Demonstrable track record inspecting and evaluating measurements. - Quality-driven, with a sharp eye for detail. - Excellent communication skills. - Able to work well under pressure, always demonstrating initiative and a positive attitude.   To find our more please reach out to Max Sinclair max@holtengineering.co.uk
