Area Sales Manager : PPE

As the Area Sales Manager you will be selling PPE - Mainly Safety Helmets as well as some bump caps and respirators.
Selling heavily into Distributors, Re-sellers, Retailers and Wholesalers though you will also need to spend a lot of time with the End Users to back sell through the distributors.
This role will be working at branch level with national accounts as well as working with independent distributors.
You will be involved in looking for end user business to back sell through the distributors and you will also be involved in joint visits with the distributors to assist with technical enquiries.
You will be expected to do a minimum of 2 quality appointments per day, ideally closer to 4 and you will spend 4 days per week on the road with 1 from home doing admin.
70% account management/increasing spend and 30% new business.
£34k-£40k basic salary, 10% Bonus, Car/Car Allowance, Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 25 day’s holiday + bank holiday’s
The Ideal Person:
MUST have really good account management experience and be able to manage accounts and grow them.
Ideally you will have experience selling PPE, Safety Equipment or Hygiene Equipment though they will consider from other backgrounds as long as you have the account management experience.
Ideally you will have experience selling through Distributors, Re-sellers, Wholesalers, Retailers with time spent with end users to back sell through distributors.
MUST have the right work ethic and attitude – driven to get out and meet customers to drum up business.
Driven, hungry, not afraid to get stuck in, can do attitude.
