Senior Business Support Officer
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Business Support Officer to join a well-established team at Liverpool City Council's Quality Assurance Safeguarding Unit. This hybrid role involves a significant focus on minute-taking for critical safeguarding meetings, including Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, and Specialist Meetings. Hybrid working model £15.99 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay 2 month initial contract with possibility of extension after thisResponsibilities:
Provide budgetary, statistical, and financial information to managers, ensuring compliance with financial protocols. Assist with cash handling, bank accounts, and financial systems, including processing pay runs and reports. Liaise with Exchequer Management, social workers, and team leaders to adhere to protocols and audit requirements. Organise and attend Panels, taking detailed and accurate minutes, and ensuring decisions are distributed in line with data protection guidelines. Collate and distribute reports within agreed timescales, supporting quality assurance processes. Provide support and guidance on Children’s systems, such as Liquid Logic and Controcc. Ensure work is completed to high standards within deadlines, supporting the team leader with performance management. Uphold confidentiality and comply with relevant data protection legislation. Promote equality, diversity, and health & safety in all aspects of work.Requirements:
Essential:
5 GCSEs (A*-C, 9-4) or NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent). Experience of taking accurate minutes in a professional setting. Experience producing financial or data reports and arranging meetings, including agendas and minutes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage workloads.Desirable:
Experience working with IT systems like i-Casework, Liquid Logic, or Controcc. Experience working with financial systems such as SAP. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Apply Now
