IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, tech-savvy problem solver with a genuine interest in IT systems and digital technologies. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide first-line support for IT issues and service requests via the central helpdesk.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.

Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring compliance with data protection and GDPR regulations. Set up new users, manage accounts, and remove access when staff or students leave. Support the maintenance and repair of IT equipment, printers, and classroom devices. Assist with routine system backups and ensure network stability across the school. Provide technical assistance for audio-visual equipment and school events. Contribute to IT projects and upgrades across the Trust. Support cybersecurity awareness and promote safe digital practices among staff and students. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Training:

As an apprentice, you will receive a combination of structured online learning and practical, on-the-job training. You will work towards achieving the Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship standard, supported by experienced mentors and tutors. Regular progress reviews will help you develop your skills, confidence, and career prospects.

 



Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for full-time employment within Dereham Neatherd High School or across the Enrich Learning Trust.
