Dental Nurse Apprentice

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to uphold high standards of hygiene. Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed, including managing stock levels of dental supplies. Continuously update knowledge of dental practices and procedures to provide informed support to both patients and colleagues.

Training:
2 classes at Yeovil College per month. You will be relased from the workplace to attend your Yeovil College sessions. 

Training Outcome:

Upon qualifying as a dental nurse apprentice, you become a Registered Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council (GDC). With experience, you can pursue additional training and qualifications to specialise or move into more senior roles, such as senior dental nurse.

The dental practice and team are constantly evolving and improving their skills to allow us to offer the best treatment for our patients.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. 8am - 5pm (lunch break 1pm - 2pm unpaid).
