General Dairy farm worker, Apprenticeship
The apprentice will join part of the team delivering animal care to the Dairy Livestock including:
Basic general maintenance and cleaning of the site Basic tractor work including trailers Feeding Cleaning pens Scraping Milking Calf rearingThe tasks include working in barns around livestock, working outdoors in all weather.
Training:
The apprenticeship will be delivered on site. This means there will be no need to travel to college. All your time will be spent at the farm approx. 40 hours per week. This will be split between on the job (80%), and (20%) off the job training.
Off the job training includes:
Assignments set by your tutor Job shadowing and workplace learning Online sessions Your own research completing OFJ records adding to your online portfolio of EvidenceThis will be supported by regular reviews and on-site visits.
Training Outcome:
Full-time employment Progression onto Dairy Technologist Level 5 Progression on to Crop Technician Level 3

Training & Apprenticeships in Construction Ltd (TrAC) is a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.
Working Hours :
40 hours per week. Hours may vary with need. May be a possibility for additional hours dep on age (Working days and hours TBC).
