Test Rig Maintenance Apprentice
We are looking to recruit a high calibre apprentice who can support our Works Engineering Department (WED) with fault-finding, repair, service and maintenance of the many on-site test rigs. You will be part of our WED Community and be assigned a Mentor, who will support and guide you throughout your career with us.

You will be accountable for test rig availability to production ensuring that the needs of the business and our diverse customer base are met across key facets such as Schedule, Repair Cost and Quality, Reliability to name but a few.
Day to day tasks include:
Understanding of ION Exchange Systems Understand engineering schematics and technical documentation Be able to understand pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical drawings and systems Carry out system diagnosis Carry out repairs and modifications Capable of performing a multi-skilled role when required Apply the most safe, efficient and effective methods available to keep key machinery available for production Liaise with external service and parts providers Assist in Root Cause Analysis of breakdowns and identify improvement opportunitiesTraining:
This is a three year Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, Mechatronics pathway, with the first year being full time at the training provider, In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ. Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address.
The mandatory qualifications will include:
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) Mechatronics and a Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)Training Outcome:
