Apprentice Early Years Educator

This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged 0-5 years. You will play a key role in guiding children's learning through play and ensuring their wellbeing.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure continuity of care Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their developmental milestones and sharing insights with parents Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive interactions among children Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery space that meets health and safety regulations Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education

Requirements:

Proven experience in childcare or early years education, preferably within a nursery setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team when required Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and best practices Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's learning through play-based activities Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are desirable but not essential

Training:
The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Early Years Educator Level 3 Training will include paediatric first aid qualification A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course This is a predominantly work-based programme with college attendance required once a month All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/college and within their contracted working hours

Training Outcome:
A permanent position on successful completion of this Apprenticeship Standard There are great opportunities to further your continuous professional development as we have access to not only our local Safeguarding Training Board but also access to Noodle Now where there are many courses you can take part in We have a small team of staff, and all members ideas and thoughts are valued and respected

Employer Description:
At GAPA Nursery we provide high quality, affordable childcare and early years education for children aged 2 years old to 4 years old. Our nursery offers a home from home environment where the children feel safe and relaxed. We are extremely fortunate to have an amazing outdoor space where we spend many hours a week riding bikes, making mud pies in our mud kitchen and gardening amongst other activities. We follow in the moment Planning which gives all children the opportunity to learn whilst following their interests. Staff will then enhance and create further learning opportunities to support all the children.

Working Hours :
Working hours will be between 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
