Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship

As an apprentice completing the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery qualification you will be involved in a range of joinery tasks that will involve a range of building materials, mainly wood. Within this position the apprentice will be working on bespoke house renovations that will include the following tasks: 

Installing sash windows Fitting internal and external doors Assisting with installation of bespoke staircases Installing window frames Assisting with making and installing bespoke cabinets Assisting with bespoke joinery projects Loft conversions Shaping and cutting materials Installing finished materials like partitions, doors, staircases, window frames, mouldings Timber floor coverings and erecting structural components such as floor joists and roofs

Training:
Carpentry and joinery Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Block release takes place at Derwentside College based in Consett

Training Outcome:
The apprentice will be fully supported by the employer to ensure that the apprentice is successful in gaining the skills to allow the apprentice to have a career in Carpentry and Joinery There may also be the possibility to progress to Craft Carpentry and Joinery Level 3

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm Saturday work will be available job depending
