Core Carpentry: Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood to build structures and furniture.
Joinery Techniques: Creating strong joints and assembling doors, windows, and cabinetry.
Tool Mastery: Safe use of hand and power tools, like saws, drills, and routers.
Site Skills: Real-world experience on job sites, including safety and teamwork.
Finishing Touches: Sanding, staining, and varnishing for professional-quality results.
Problem-Solving: Planning and adapting to challenges, from measurements to materials.
Training:
Training takes place in the form of day release once a week at Nottingham College Basford campus, starting in the spring.
Training Outcome:
Potential opportunity for a permanent role within the company following successful completion of the apprenticeship.

This occupation involves carrying out skilled work, primarily using timber products, either on a construction site, or in a workshop, creating and installing building components. A Site Carpenter will normally work on a building site, or in domestic and commercial premises, preparing and fixing building components, from the initial erection of a new building, through to the installation of all necessary fixtures and fittings, as well as a range of repair and maintenance activities.
Working Hours :
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
