Servicing after market pumps from utilities and power companies.
As a Service Engineer your main task will be stripping down pumps and producing failure reports for customers.
Depending on the fluid that the pumps are moving they could be very old (if in fresh water) or relatively new if the fluid has high corrosion chemicals and minerals in it, i.e, saltwater.
Reporting into the workshop supervisor these pumps may take a day to a whole week to fix depending on size, wear and tear.
There is a team of 4 engineers in this centre so there will be plenty of support to get you started.
One team member is consistently in the field and will from time to time need extra support fixing pumps, so you may need to spend time on the road with them on an ad hock basis.

The Ideal Person:
This role requires someone to have experience with pump maintenance, building or repair.
A prerequisite to this role is to have extensive knowledge on mechanical pumps.
3 – 4 years’ experience with pumps.
