Childcare Apprenticeship - West Ham
We are looking for candidates who are reliable, with great determination, motivation and enthusiasm. Someone who is flexible and able to work as part of a team, with good communication skills. Shows a willingness to learn further by attending training. You'll be able to support and encourage the overall development of the children by ensuring their well-being, development and individual need are being met at all times and to safeguard all children within our care. You will assist in lanning and implementing appropriate activities and learning opportunities for age specific children with the ability to adapt accordingly to the children’s individual needs, interests, abilities, understanding etc.
Your role will include:
Plan and implement appropriate activities to meet the needs of the children's age and stage of development. Ensure children are safeguarded at all times. Ensure the company's Values and Visions are upheld. To maintain detailed records of the children’s day-to-day activities to ensure daily handovers can take place between practitioner and parent/carer To follow the room routines and instructions given by the room leader and managementBenefits include:
Barney Bears Nursery - West Ham is located within the Grassroots Centre, in Memorial Park. Being within the park gives more space and easier access to a more natural environment for the children and also staff on breaks.
We are located within a 5 min walk from West Ham train station with direct links to the District Line, Jubilee, DLR and C2C services.
Staff to entitled to annual leave throughout the year. Well-being days are often awarded to staff throughout the year also, to take and use on top of their annual leave as additional days off from work.
Training:
It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.
This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.
This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 18 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Educator Level 3.
Training Outcome:
Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday (shifts between 07:00 - 18:30).
