Apprentice Early Years Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for spending time with children. As a Nursery Apprentice you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. If you can read a book upside down, whilst dressed as a magician and drinking the world’s best pretend tea, then this is the job for you!

Duties will include:

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement with support engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Support daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a smooth flow of the day. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning and exploration. Support initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting. All other associated duties as required.

Training:

All delivery for this apprenticeship will take place within your place of work. A dedicated Vocational Trainer will visit on average once every 4 weeks, to establish a personal learning and development plan, outlining a schedule of training activities and business objectives. 

You will complete a mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops, face to face training and online sessions. You’ll also be supported by your colleagues at all times, and will have a full induction.

You will have a review every 8-12 weeks with your Line Manager and Trainer to discuss your progress.

Employer Description:
Broadway Daycare is a popular, well-established nursery setting situated on Laceby Acres, Grimsby. We offer childcare places to children aged between 6 months and 5 years, from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Due to an increase in numbers, we are looking to recruit an early years apprentice to join our small family team from January 2026. We are looking to hire an early years apprentice to work between 30-37.5 hours per week

Working Hours :
We are looking to hire an early years apprentice to work between 30-37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 08.00 - 18.00, Monday to Friday.
