Early Years Apprentice

Childcare & Learning:

Assist with the care, supervision, and education of children under the guidance of qualified staff. Support the planning and delivery of activities in line with the EYFS. Help set up play areas and learning environments that are safe, stimulating, and inclusive. Observe children’s development and contribute to learning records with supervision.

Daily Routines:

Support children with daily routines including meals, toileting, and rest. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment. Follow nursery policies and procedures for health, safety, and safeguarding.

Professional Development:

Attend training sessions, complete coursework, and work towards the assigned Early Years qualification. Learn and apply best practices in childcare and education. Reflect on your own practice and seek feedback from mentors and supervisors.

Teamwork & Communication:

Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues as needed. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents (under supervision). Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Training:

This will take place at home, the workplace or Twickenham Training Centre.

This will be one day per week.



Training Outcome:

Full-time early years' educator, early years lead practitioner or nursery nurse.



Employer Description:
An Early Years Apprentice works under the guidance of qualified practitioners to gain hands-on experience in caring for and educating young children. They support daily nursery routines while studying towards an Early Years qualification.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 5:30pm.
