Apprentice Greenkeeper Level 2
As an apprentice, you’ll gain valuable experience working alongside our skilled Greenkeeping Team, learning how to prepare and maintain the greens, fairways, tees, and bunkers that make Belton Woods one of the most popular golfing destinations in Lincolnshire. You’ll also work towards achieving your Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Apprenticeship, combining practical experience with expert training from our trusted apprenticeship provider.
Training:
Partnered with a recognised college to deliver a 24-month programme, achieving a fully accredited Level 2 Apprenticeship in Golf Greenkeeping. You will have the opportunity to learn alongside specialists in their field whilst offering.
Comprehensive on-the-job training delivered onsite Support for further education in greenkeeping and turf management A friendly and supportive team environment Opportunities for career progression within the golf industry Functional Skills in English and Maths if requiredTraining Outcome:
This standard is recognised by the British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA), the Professional Body for Greenkeepers.
At the start of the apprenticeship the apprentice will be registered with BIGGA. Upon completion of this standard the apprentice will be eligible to join BIGGA as a full member and become a BIGGA Accredited Greenkeeper.
Apprentices successfully completing the Level 2 Apprenticeship have opportunities to progress within the industry by continuing onto the Level 3 Advanced Sportsturf Technician Apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Shifts are allocated on a rota system working 40 hours over 5 days in a 7-day working week. There is an opportunity to work overtime during busy periods if you are 18 or over.
