Science Technician Apprentice

Our Science Technician Team provide practical support for students in science lessons.

Some of your daily duties will include:

Carrying out demonstrations Preparing resources Assembling apparatus Stock control and ordering as appropriate Ensuring all health and safety requirements are met Giving technical advice to teachers and students Ensuring the availability of suitable materials and equipment and suggesting alternatives for suitability and economy

Training:

Through the training provider, CSR Scientific Training, you will undertake a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship which will include: 

Fully recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Laboratory Technician  On-the-job competency training  Theoretical knowledge - BTEC Level 3 Applied Science (if required)

The majority of your learning will be completed online once a week with some face-to-face practical sessions/exams (if completing BTEC) in Sutton Coldfield.

Upon successful completion, apprentices can apply for professional registration as a Registered Science Technician, RSciTech, with either the Royal Society of Chemistry or Royal Society of Biology

Training Outcome:
Upon succesful completion of the apprenticeship, you may be able to apply for a permanent position

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.00pm and Friday, 8.00am - 3.30pm (Term time only - 38 weeks per year)
