Training:

Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

In your first year, you'll attend Engineering Trust in Bicester to learn basic maintenance engineering skills.

Then, you’ll apply this knowledge on-site, learning from skilled engineers.

The 4-year apprenticeship, a partnership between Collins Aerospace and Engineering Trust, covers:

Understanding technical documentation Performing system diagnosis, repairs, and modifications Becoming multi-skilled when required Applying safe, efficient methods to maintain machinery Liaising with external service and parts providers Assisting in Root Cause Analysis and identifying improvements

Training Outcome:
Career progression in maintenance engineering typically starts with roles such as Maintenance Technician, progressing to Senior Technician or Maintenance Engineer With experience, professionals can advance to supervisory or management roles, like Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager Specialising in areas such as reliability engineering or faccility management further enhances career growth

Employer Description:
The role is based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Center of Excellence facility in Banbury, UK – formerly the Crompton Technology Group (CTG) – designs, qualifies and manufactures high-performance structural and non-structural aerospace composite products for military and commercial applications.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:15 and Friday, 08:00 - 14:15
