Metal Fabrication Apprentice - CMP Products
Learning how to set-up, operate and adjust equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used
Apply a variety of fabrication techniques such as cutting, bending welding
Perform operating duties as requested on or within target times
Work to required quality standards and procedures to ensure products are manufactured to company requirements
Understand the importance of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S)
Be able to read and understand Engineering Drawings
Use a variety of measuring equipment ensure all inspection requirements are completed
Accurately complete all system transactions related to your job role
Understand how businesses operate and the interrelationships between departments and activities
Training:
You will complete a 4 year apprenticeship specialising in metal fabrication and will study with TDR Training, completing a portfolio of evidence to prove their competence to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Metal Fabrications.
At the start of your apprenticeship, you’ll spend the first 20 weeks at TDR Training School in Longbenton. You’ll then join the team at CMP, in Cramlington, where you’ll spend four days per week in the factory while attending college one day per week.

Working Hours :
5 days a week. Shift pattern to be agreed by the training school.
