Medical Engineering Apprentice
The jobholder will work as part of an engineering team carrying out technical activity on a broad range of medical equipment ranging from simple custom-made treatment aids to physiological monitoring equipment, infusions devices, dialysis equipment, diagnostic imaging and treatment systems including CT scanners and radiotherapy linear accelerators
They will work both in workshops and in clinical areas helping to deliver a range of technical services including equipment installation, repair, maintenance and calibration
They will participate in equipment quality assurance and planned preventative maintenance activity as well as assisting in the production of treatment devices
Training:
On the job training will take place at Leeds Teaching hospital in different technical engineering teams
Off the job learning will be done online with Dudley College and Avensys Medical
You will be in work 4 days a week and studying one day a week
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship will qualify candidates to apply for and progress their careers within our Medical Physics and Engineering Department.

Working Hours :
You will work 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm 4 days will be in work and 1 day will be training
