Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Apprentice - Gloucester
Your Training will include periods of on-the-job training at one of our Fleet workshops. You will be working alongside and learning from experienced and qualified Mechanics, in addition you will attend a technical college for block release study periods, ultimately achieving a Level 3 Qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics.
A vehicle Mechanic uses their mechanical skills and knowledge to ensure that our fleet is operational 24/7 – 365, thus enabling our teams to deliver a service to the communities and customer’s we serve. That means taking responsibility for safety, ensuring legal compliance and delivering it all cost-effectively
Join us, and we will see you using your skills and participate in activities on our fleet such as;
Carrying out routine repair and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles, plant and ancillary equipment, which includes: Electric, ICE, Heavy goods, Cranes, Loaders, Generators, Trailers, etc. Preparing and presenting vehicles for annual testing. Road testing, diagnosing and repairing of vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic equipment. Attending breakdowns; recovery of broken down or accident damaged vehicles. Fabrication and modification of vehicles – to include welding techniquesTraining Outcome:

They might be helping a customer who has lost supply or supporting a developer building a multi-million pound project. They maintain a 24/7 service from faults and maintenance, asset replacement to new connections, working outdoors with underground cables, overhead lines and substations that operate between 230 and 132,000 volts, their work is critical to everything we do.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between 9am - 5:30pm.
