Assistant Carpenter Apprentice

Interpret and extract information from drawings, specifications, schedules, methods of work, risk assessments. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. Bespoke installation of the following first and second fix components:

o   Timber fixtures and fittings.

o   Door and window frames.

o   Roof trusses and wall partitions.

o   Floor joists and floor boards.

o   Temporary supports for concrete.

o   Kitchen and bathroom units.

o   Side hung doors.

o   Mouldings.

Training Outcome:

Full time employment.

JBS Lofts are a building company and are looking for carpentry apprentices. We are enthusiastic about seeing you through your course and would encourage you to stay on to become part of our team. You will need to be hard working, reliable and willing to expand your knowledge, not only within carpentry but in all other areas of building. You must be able to think on your feet, as well as contributing your own ideas. Transport is essential as we cover Bath and Bristol.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. 8am – 4pm. Paid break of an hour each day.
