Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprentice

Complete all aspects of the apprenticeship, including work assigments and coordination with the training provider to access training sessions Participate actively in training and personal development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge Learn ans master the delivery of high-quality cycling instruction to young people, adhering to natinal standards. Conduct thorough checks to assess risks to trainees, bicycles and training environments, including on-road locations, to ensure a safe learning experience Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures Maintain vigilance in safeguarding practices Follow protocols for accident and incidence reporting

Training:

Community Activator Coach Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

The appreticeship will train both in the work environment over a period of 18 to 24 months

Training Outcome:

At the end of a Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship, apprentices will achieve:

Practical Coaching Skills:

The ability to deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging sports and physical activity sessions tailored to diverse community groups

Knowledge of Community Engagement:

A deep understanding of how to engage individuals from different backgrounds and break down barriers to participation in sports and physical activities

Leadership and Communication Skills:

The capability to inspire, motivate, and communicate effectively with participants, stakeholders, and colleagues

Industry Qualification:

A nationally recognized Level 2 Certificate in Coaching and potentially other relevant qualifications (e.g., safeguarding, first aid)

Employment Readiness:

A pathway into roles such as Community Sports Coach, Activity Leader, or further development into higher-level coaching or sports-related qualifications The apprenticeship empowers individuals to make a meaningful impact by promoting health and well-being through physical activity in their communities
