Salary: £34000 - £36400 with annual pay reviews

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Repair & Refurbishment: Perform comprehensive repairs and refurbishments on forklifts and heavy-handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites.Diagnostics: Use schematic drawings and manuals to identify faults and ensure equipment operates at peak performance.Maintenance: Carry out regular servicing and part replacements, ensuring compliance with safety standards.Workshop Management: Oversee the upkeep of the workshop, including tool and equipment management.Customer Support: Provide exceptional after-sales support, addressing customer concerns and maintaining positive relationships.Workload Management: Maintain accurate timesheets and effectively manage your workload.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

Level 3 Qualification in Engineering or equivalentMinimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, particularly in forklift repairProficient with mechanical power tools and workshop machineryStrong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systemsCompliance with health and safety regulationsFull Driving License

Desirable:

Experience in electrical repairs for plant equipmentStrong customer support backgroundAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range of £34000 - £36400 per annum (Reviewed annually)Overtime at enhanced rates (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x on Sundays and 3x on Bank Holidays)Bonus scheme, loyalty bonus, and additional overtime holiday payEnhanced holiday days based on serviceFull-time, day shift schedule with occasional weekend availability
