Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship
Set up and operate CNC machines for tasks such as cutting.
Load programs, workpieces, and configure initial settings into CNC machines.
Understand and follow task specifications and desired outcomes by reviewing technical drawings and other documentation.
Translate instructions into computer commands to ensure machines perform the correct functions.
Monitor machining operations and intervene in case of malfunctions, breakdowns, or errors during machining.
Maintain equipment, adhere to quality and safety standards, and keep detailed maintenance logs.
Produce machined pre-cut parts.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality
Training:
You will be completing your apprenticeship with Newcastle College, where you will attend one day per week.
Training Outcome:
Upon completion of apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity for a full-time role.
