Plastering Apprentice

Duties will inculde but are not restricted to:

Assisting tradesmen with the application of plaster finishes to walls, floors and ceilings Assisting with the preparation of mortars Preparing surfaces for the application of mortars Ensuring that work areas are kept clean and safe Managing receipt and distribution of materials onsite Ensuring that company tools and machinery are kept in good working order

Training:
You will be working towards a Level 2 Plastering Apprenticeship Standard You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor Individuals without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end-point assessment You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training

Training Outcome:

Our intention is to provide the successful candidate with the skills and confidence to work individually as a competent tradesman on an employed or self-employed basis. Career progression and salary will be defined by the candidates own level of motivation and ambition.

Truform Plastering provide all internal and external plastering, both domestic and commercial, covering the whole of Cornwall. Primarily, we provide modern finishes to new builds and alteration works for small to medium sized builders and developers. We pride ourselves on our consistently high quality of work, attention to detail and professional service. These are the values we trade on.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 07:45 - 16:15.(Travel time and work site is variable).
