Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship - Production Support & Development Technician

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist in the setup and operation of equipment for cable harness and electro-mechanical assembly production Participate in structured training programs to learn essential production techniques and procedures Manufacture assemblies using a range of tools in accordance with IPC-620 acceptance standards Assist in the assembly, soldering, wiring, and testing of electronic components and systems Perform visual inspection and electrical testing on a range of assemblies in accordance with industry standards Maintain accurate records of production activities, test results, and quality checks Identify and resolve issues with cable harness and electro -mechanical assemblies Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards

Training:

Engineering technician Level 3 (A level) Apprenticeship Standard:

All apprentices will be required to achieve as a minimum- Level 2 Foundation competence qualification (Practical units broad based skills) Level 3 Development Competence qualification (Practical work based units) Level 3 Development technical knowledge qualification (Theory based units broad based knowledge) Apprentice without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this prior to taking EPA

End Point Assessment:

Portfolio Based Occupational Competence Interview (Viva) A nominated professional Institution (PEI) undertakes the independent assessment to determine if the apprentice has met the EngTech requirements as defined by the UK-SPEC

Training Outcome:
On completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have the skills necessary to become a EWIS (Electrical wiring interconnect systems) production technician Further progression may be available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
