Engineering Manager - Newcastle upon Tyne - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Public Sector & Commercial

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager on the behalf of our global facilities management client, The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a multi-site, large-scale contract with an annual turnover exceeding £2 million, you’ll lead a talented technical team, delivering outstanding facilities management and commercial services.

This is a site based opportunity, working from the client’s site in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

Package:
Competitive salary between £56,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)Company car or car allowancePerformance related bonusCore hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Generous workplace pension scheme Training, development & progression opportunities
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a technical team of professionals across multiple sitesManage statutory and reactive maintenance and oversee the CAFM systemDrive innovative FM projects, improve client relationships, and elevate the student living experienceEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and champion best practices in technical servicesOversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal disruptionManage contractors, technical logistics, and health & safety compliancePrepare risk assessments and maintain COSHH complianceProvide strategic and operational support to stakeholders and management
Requirements:
Recognised apprenticeship or HNC in Mechanical/Electrical EngineeringHands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing building services, with strong PPM system knowledge (SFG20 preferred)Strong communication, organisational, and planning abilitiesWorking understanding of Health & Safety legislation and IOSH certification
