Assistant Quarry Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Quarry Manager to join a market-leading aggregates supplier with an impressive network of quarries, with future growth plans.

The Assistant Quarry Manager is based in the Lincolnshire area near Grantham. The vacancy offers a salary of up to £45,000, a company pension matched up to 8%, and a generous holiday allowance.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Quarry Manager:

Assistant managing a team of 9 employees Assisting in the achievement of targets and maximising the efficiency of the production process Ensuring the maintenance of the mobile plant fleet including extraction and crushing & screening equipment A hands-on approach to the supervision of the quarrying operations will be needed for the operations involving company staff and contractors, whilst maintaining safety on the site as per legislation, company processes and procedures Reporting and investigating any unsafe or hazardous working practices and recording on company Health and Safety System Issuing of safety briefings and toolbox talks to your operational team.

Essential Qualifications & Experience of the Assistant Quarry Manager:

Possess proven competence of different methods of extracting raw material without risk of causing injury or damage, whilst optimising overall operating costs Understand the Quarry Regulations 1999 and possess Reg 8.1d accredited status, and 8.1c desirable Demonstrable quarry supervisory experience.
