Web Developer Software Apprentice
This apprenticeship is ideal for anyone with a keen interest in websites, tech and coding, and is perfect if you would like to make your mark on a small, but rapidly growing business!
While we are based in Leicester, our team works remotely across the UK. This is a hybrid or fully remote position, however, if you are based in or around Leicester, our office is open for you to work from.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough testing of our client’s websites following plugin and platform updates, testing across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms Identify issues, bugs, or discrepancies for in-design specifications, functionality, content, layout, or performance Track plugin licenses, renewals, and client invoicing for plugin-related costs Regular auditing of our client websites to check for settings being applied and correctly configured, whilst following an audit framework for new clients Assist with website launch checklists, ensuring all steps are completed before sites go live Add new content, imagery, and pages to websites using the site’s component library Research, test and evaluate plugins or tools to identify the best options for our client’s needs Organize and manage files for ongoing projects, keeping everything accessible and clearly labelledTraining:

Junior Developers work as part of a software development team to build simple software components on web, mobile or desktop apps to be used by other members of the team as part of larger software development projects.
QA’s Junior Developer Level 3 apprenticeship programme enables the apprentice to:
Explore a wide range of skills including Python, C#, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Microservices and cloud
Interpret simple design requirements for discrete components of a project under supervision
Implement code which other team members have developed to produce required components
Gain the following qualifications upon successful completion of the Junior Developer Level 3 programme:
Software Development Technician Level 3 BCS Certificate in Systems Development Context and Methodologies BCS Certificate in ProgrammingTraining Outcome:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
