Equine Groom Apprenticeship
You will be working as an apprentice groom on a busy eventing yard with horses from young 3 year old horses, to 5* horses so lots of experience available!
The job is usual yard work including;
Feeding Grooming Tacking up Turning out/ bringing in Mucking out (learning to) Manage and prepare event horses for competition. Some riding and competition grooming depending on experience level.During the role the apprentice will be supported to develop in all areas and the employer is happy to work with you in areas you are particularly interested in.
You will also receive regular training from an equine vet and BHSI Stage 5 Performance coach.
Training:
You will be working towards the Equine Groom Level 2 apprenticeship.
All training will take place at your place of work, with your employer and supported by Haddon Training. This will be a mixture of face-to-face and online delivery.
Training Outcome:
For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to progress into more senior roles within the yard or a higher level apprenticeship.
There will also be the opportunity to work towards Pony Club or BHS exams alongside/after the apprenticeship if the candidate desires.

Working Hours :
You will be working, Thursday to Monday, 8am to 5pm. Please consider this before applying as you will be working all weekends.
