Wood Machinist Apprentice
Assist in setting up and operating woodworking machines such as saws, routers, sanders, and CNC wood machinery
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and production plans
Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products
Support the preparation, assembly, and finishing of wood components
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment in line with company safety procedures
Learn how to maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on woodworking machines and tools
Follow instructions from senior machinists and supervisors to meet production targets
Assist in monitoring material usage, waste reduction, and process improvements
Assist in the continuous improvement of the operations through Lean Manufacturing concepts
Training:
The apprentice will train in the workplace with regular team calls with the training provider to cover off-course work and complete modules
The apprentice will have a face to face visit in the workplace once per calander month with the trainer
Training Outcome:
Career progression into skilled machinist or production technician roles

Working Hours :
Mondays- Thursdays 7.30am- 4.30pm which includes a 15-minute paid break and 30 unpaid lunch
Friday 7.30am- 1.30pm with a 15-minute paid break
