Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

Duties will include: 

Helping pupils with their learning  Running clubs, activities and interventions with small groups  Supporting individual students to overcome challenges, such as with reading, writing or confidence  Supporting students who have special educational needs and disabilities  Preparing the classroom with resources and classroom management  Safeguarding pupils 

Training:

Apprentices will attend on-campus face-to-face training days every 6 weeks, college transport is available. 

Apprentices will also be visited in the workplace by their assigned instructor-mentor who will complete observations, and professional discussions and guide the apprentice throughout their apprenticeship. 



Training Outcome:

Excellent potential for a permanent role after successful completion of the apprenticeship. Previous apprentices still work at the school. 



Employer Description:
Middle secondary school for pupils aged 9 to 13 years of age.

Working Hours :
Working Monday to Friday to cover the school day, term time only. Shifts to be confirmed.
