Apprentice Mechanic - Bounrmouth

As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work under the supervision of experienced mechanics and technicians to learn the skills and knowledge required to perform a wide range of automotive repair and maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the automotive industry and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior mechanics with routine vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, tyre rotations, and engine diagnostics. Learn to use specialised tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Perform basic inspections and tests to identify vehicle issues. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Complete assigned coursework and training modules as part of the apprenticeship programme. Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 36 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light) – Level 3 apprenticeship. 

Training Outcome:

Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship
