Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprentice (Heavy Vehicle)

Performing major and minor repairs to company fleet vehicles including vans, trucks (HGVs) and trailers Removal and refitting of brakes, hub rebuilding, wheel removal and refitting in a physically demanding workshop General maintenance Shadowing qualified mechanics in other jobs including general servicing and repairs

Training:
Motor Vehicle and Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle) Level 3 Servicing and repairing Heavy vehicles. City of Bristol College (Parkway) Block Release

Training Outcome:

This apprenticeship will be offered on a full-time basis with the opportunity to progress with further training provided. 
Future training could include gaining HGV licence or doing the IRTEC qualification. 



Employer Description:
We are a family run business with over 55 years in the Transport Industry. Our specialist workshop team repair HGVs, trailers and other vehicles so that our drivers can transport wide and long loads, military vehicles and equipment, containers and generators, dangerous goods and all the weird and wonderful! We also work on vehicles for customers and suppliers.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 1 hour unpaid breaks – 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes in the afternoon and 30 minutes for lunch
