Facade Designer

A Façade (CAD) Designer is required to join a leading contractor specialising in delivering innovative façade solutions based in Northeast London.

Location: Full-time, Office-Based position
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Overall purpose of role:

Create drawings, using relevant specifications Go to site and site office and take surveys, complete photos in order to create drawings Liaise with Estimating, at construction stage, Commercial and Site management and other relevant departments throughout the life of the project as required to track design and quality issues. Liaise with manufacturers, external structural engineers and architects, as required.

Responsibilities:

Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings. Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation. Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems. Respond to adhoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly. Occasionally assist with site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers recommendations.

Requirements:

Expert Auto CAD user (3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit optional) Engineering or Architect related studies or equivalent experience Facades experience, EWI, cladding, rainscreen experience is essential
